What Does E-commerce Demand from Packaging?
In e-commerce, packaging no longer only carries goods; it is the brand's first physical touchpoint with the customer. A shipping box must withstand the aggressive conditions of carrier networks, be packed quickly in the fulfillment center, and produce the expected brand impression when opened.
Wrong flute choice, off dimensions, wrong print technique or closure mechanism raise return rates, lower customer satisfaction and damage brand reputation. The right e-commerce box must be designed around the product's weight and sensitivity, the shipping distance, the carrier's handling intensity and the end-customer experience.
At our facility in Konya Karatay, we manufacture offset-printed corrugated e-commerce boxes. The high-volume, durability-focused shipping solutions we developed for automotive spare-parts e-commerce are carried over to B2C e-commerce brands with the same engineering discipline.
Box Types for E-commerce
Six different designs from mailer boxes to peel-and-seal shippers, from subscription boxes to easy-return constructions
Mailer (Lidded) E-commerce Box
One-piece lidded design that closes and opens quickly. Mailer-style with full-area offset printing on the outside — the most common choice for an unboxing experience.
Peel-and-Seal Shipping Box
Shipping box that seals instantly with adhesive tape — no external tape needed. Suitable for fast shipping lines and fulfillment centers.
Standard Shipping Carton
Classic American-lock (FEFCO 0201) shipping carton. Economical, durable and stackable solution for high-volume shipments.
Double-Wall Heavy Shipping Box
High-strength shipping box made with BC or EB double-wall corrugated board for heavy and sensitive products.
Subscription Box
Mailer box designed for monthly subscription products, with premium offset printing and inside/outside print suitable for opening reveal.
Easy-Return Box
Design that enables easy return shipment from the same box via dual adhesive strips. Common in fashion and apparel e-commerce.

An Example from Production
One of our customers, a B2C cosmetics brand, had complaints about high mailer-box damage rates in domestic shipping. Their existing structure was E flute with a classic lid design.
First we reviewed product weight, carrier profile and warehouse packing flow together. The average parcel weight sat at 1.8 kg, on the edge for E flute. We proposed switching to B flute corrugated, keeping the mailer structure and adding peel-and-seal closure to the lid.
With the new structure, the shipping damage rate dropped noticeably and packing time per parcel in the fulfillment center shortened significantly. Brand identity was preserved with offset print quality — and an increase in unboxing videos shared on social was observed.
